Munchkin Sports Week Two

Baseball.

This will be Brayden's favorite of them all. He loves throwing and hitting the baseballs. He actually said baseball for the first time this weekend, another word to add to his growing vocabulary.

We started this week off a little shy again but warmed up quicker. Another hard part for Brayden is standing in line to wait for his turn. He is quite the busy bee and standing still is no where in his agenda, so he's usually off running until they call his turn.

This week the kids learned the bases, how to hit the ball with a bat, to wear a glove,  how to catch a ball, to throw the ball back and forth and to run the bases. At the end of the class the kids got to hit the ball and run all the bases and cheer eachother on. He even played ring around the rosie with the kids at the end, something he didn't do last week!

Zoo Spooktacular

We took a visit to the Jacksonville Zoo to visit the Land of Enchantment for their Zoo Spooktacular event. The zoo came to life with hundreds of pumpkins, candy and lots of excitement. We enjoyed trick-or treating, music, dancing with lions and tigers (dress-up of course!), a giant slide and Brayden's favorite, bounce houses and got to visit with some of the animals that were still awake night. The zoo was filled with witches, fairies, pirates and scarecrows. They also had some scare zones for the older kids that Ian was able to go in and check out.

My little SpongeBob had a blast. He didn't like to wear his costume at first but after seeing all the other kids in their costumes he thoroughly enjoyed showing off as SpongeBob. I'm not so much a fan of SpongeBob, but Brayden knows how to say his name and loves when he sees SpongeBob so I put my feelings about SpongeBob aside and let him enjoy his Halloween costume!

We all enjoyed our night at Spooktacular and are looking forward to doing it again next year with both boys!

Always Together

"I want you to know.. If ever there is tomorrow when we are not together.. there is something you must always remember.. you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem. and smarter than you think, but the most important thing is even if were apart.. I'll always be with you.♥"

Munckin Sports Week One

Soccer.

Week one started off a little rough. Brayden is going through quite a shy stage with people he doesn't know, so trying to get him to go out and play with the teachers was a little slow at first. He needed time to warm up and get used to it all. It took about thirty minutes and a Cliff Bar and he was running around, not necessarily paying attention but he was out there running to get the soccer balls!

The age group was two to four with most of the kids being on the older side. There were a few boys that were about Brayden's age that were all going through the same emotions of being shy. The instructors were trying hard to get all the kids attention but when you have fifteen kids and balls all over the place it was hard to have all there devoted attention at once.

This week the instructors taught them how to kick the ball, stop the ball, dribble the ball, pass the ball and make a goal and at the end of the class they all got a bag of popcorn for there great sportsmanship! Next week I'll be reporting back with a different sport!

I guess he wasn't ready to nap?!

Peepa!

In Brayden's words peepa is pizza and right now that's one of his favorite things to eat dipped in ranch dressing! He asks for it everyday! Of course he doesn't get it everyday but he is a very happy boy when he gets it for dinner. I just put a healthier kick on the pizza making it with a whole wheat wrap, sauce and cheese, better than frozen and he can't tell the difference! Here's the happy boy tonight at dinner enjoying his peepa!

Mommy

"Mommy, Mommy, Mommy", it's what I hear most of the day. Yes, I couldn't wait for Brayden to be able to call me Mommy and yes I do love it but somedays it's nonstop! It's usually said when he's trying to get my attention and wants something but usually "Mommy, Mommy Mommy" is followed by a "HI" or he just turns away and goes onto what he was doing. I think he sometimes doesn't want me to forget my name, so he likes to remind me who I am! How could I forgot, it's the greatest gift in the world!

My Papa, My Hero

What's better than playing superheros, when Papa dresses up and  plays too!
