I found this craft in a craft book and thought it would be an age appropriate craft for Brayden to enjoy. He enjoyed decorating his lantern with markers and making a mess all over him. A bath was needed once he was done. Once we finished decorating our lanterns, we cut the bottom out of the water jug and placed them all through the house. Brayden even has his own in his bedroom. We put battery operated tea lights underneath them and lit the ghostly lanterns all through the house.

Children's Musuem
This past weekend we took our first trip to the Museum of Arts and Science and Children's Museum in Daytona. They had a few exhibits that caught Brayden's attention and of course the Children's Museum was filled with hands on activities that kept us busy.
Our first exhibit we saw were Teddy Bears. Of course Brayden had brought his Teddy with him so he was proud to show off his Teddy to all the other Teddies. We also were able to see the train exhibit and walk around and explore two actual trains that once ran in Daytona Beach.
The Children's Museum brought the most excitement and hands on activities. We looked through telescopes, built race cars for the raceway, threw balls to see our speed, rode on a motorcycle, and as Brayden would say made Peepa (Pizza). The pizza kitchen seemed to be the longest exhibit we stayed at. Brayden loved making different pizzas and bringing them to us and the last picture at the bottom is my favorite from the day!

Iphone Pictures
I've been slacking a bit with posting my iphone pictures. I've been taking alot of them but haven't seemed to remember to post them lately and there the pictures and moments I love the most. The ones I can capture quicker and faster than getting my camera out!
Trying sushi for the first time. He wasn't a fan of it!
Playing with his new ball and glove Papa and Babci brought him back from the Rays game.
The glasses are always around!
Wearing Daddy's socks!
Five Months!
Making pizza with Babci!
Helping Papa with his daily puzzle.
Having fun with his harmonica. Babci and Papa love buying toys that make noises! He's actually pretty good at playing it too!
What can be more fun that bringing your toilet seat in the tub and then sticking your head in it!
Six months and counting!

Preparation Underway
With a little more than three months to go until Brayden takes on his new role as big brother, he's preparing for the big day! I found a book for him titled "I'm a Big Brother". It walks through the steps of bringing the baby home, daily routines and milestones. Ian read it to him for the first time last night, replacing his name with the boys name in the book. He sat and listened to the whole book. I'm so excited to see his reaction to the new baby. Without a doubt I think he's going to be his caring, loving, little self and be very protective of his little brother.

Lights On, Lights Off
Brayden loves figuring out new things to do and most of the time it's something he's not supposed to be doing. Well I should say that he should be doing it but just at the right times. His new trick, turning the lights and fans on and off. It's nice that he likes to have lights on but I am not a fan of having lights on first thing in the morning and I enjoy having my fans on all day. He's sneaky too. We'll go ahead and turn the fan back on and he's quick to get back over there and turn it off. And he has no problem reaching all of the light switches in the house even though he isn't tall enough thanks to his scooter! The pictures show the sequence of events that this takes place. 1. turn the lights/fan on 2. make sure that it worked 3. drives his scooter to the next switches to continue on

Labor Day City Event
The city of Palm Coast hosted a Labor Day City Event. The event included water slide bounce houses, a live radio station deejaying, vendors and food and drinks! There were also fireworks scheduled for later in the evening.
Brayden loves bounce houses and slides but when you add water and make them slippery he's a little unsure. He got half way up the walkway for the slide and didn't want to go any further, he actually just wanted to jump in the walkway which wasn't going to happen with kids who wanted to slide. Luckily they had a water gun maze bounce center, in which he ran around getting sprayed with water guns because he was unsure how to use his! He also got a little muddy when he fell into the mud!
Next I think was the best for Brayden. A Spongebob plane! Ian and I also thought it was pretty cool. Local men make these as there hobby and flew them around the festival. Brayden kept staring at Spongebob as he was flying in the sky. He was also sure to say bye to Spongebob as they left.
The radio station brought out hoola hoops for the kids to do a contest. Of course Brayden didn't do the contest but he sure loved playing with the hoola hoops and taking new ones as they came available. We had some dinner while we were there and let Brayden eat his hotdog off of a frisbee that we had received from one of the vendors. He now thinks it's a plate and is always asking to eat off the frisbee at home.
We didn't stay for the fireworks, we wanted to get out of there before we would be sitting in traffic! It was a nice evening with a cool breeze and lots of smiles!

Third Year Gator Fan
Brayden was born a Florida Gator Fan! He has worn his blue and orange and cheered on the Gators since he was born. We're trying to get him to learn the Gator chomp and I think soon he will be chomping away on all the gator bait! With the season opening game yesterday, our family was sure to wear our Gator apparel. Sometimes there's moments where I know I have pictures of almost the same memory a few years back. The pictures below are from Brayden's first season of being a Gator fan, only a few months old. Then are our new pictures from the 2011 season, two years old!
