VBS Performance

Brayden attended his first year of Vacation Bible School this summer at Christ the King. After having a few weeks off of school for the summer he was glad to be back with his friends and make new friends at VBS. He came home with many new crafts and learning to sign new songs! On Sunday the church invited all of the VBS students to sing a few songs before the service. Brayden did great. He was so cute up there singing with all his friends. The sang about five songs and then the kids headed off into children's church. And still today Brayden is singing the songs he learned in VBS.

After the service we took the boys out for a celebration lunch!

When Brayden's Gone

When Braydens gone, Bransen is lost! Many times my parents will take Brayden for the night so it's just Bransen at home with us. He's great about playing by himself but for some reasons the mornings are the worst for him when he's by himself. Brayden usually always wakes before Bransen so we both will go into Bransen's room to get him out of his crib. Bransen always smiles when he sees us and Brayden will give him a big hug. On the mornings that Brayden doesn't come in because he's gone Bransen will look around for him. He'll walk to the playroom, into my room and wander around wondering where his brother is. This one morning he went to Brayden's bedroom door and started knocking on it and crying for him to come out. Needless to say he was very happy when we went to pick Brayden up from Papa and Babci's!

Jacksonville Zoo

You can't beat a $2 admission day at the Jacksonville Zoo although I could do with it not being so crowded! We headed up to the zoo with my friend Pam and her kids. The sun was hot but that didn't stop us from enjoying the day with the animals and friends. Both boys loved looking at all the animals and feeding the giraffes.

Brayden Turns Four

Another year closer to five, Brayden turns four! Four!! My little baby is four. He's feisty, loving, smart, funny, caring and makes us laugh all the time and what better way to celebrate him turning four than Ninja Turtle parties. That's right parties! Not one but two!

We celebrated his actual birthday with a trip to the splash park in the morning and then my parents joined us up at our house for a birthday celebration. We had Brayden's favorite food (spaghetti) and I made a Raphael birthday cake which was loved by the birthday boy. He got to open presents and have the whole day be all about him. And he definitely loved it!

The next day the celebration continued and we had another turtle birthday party with pizza (the Turtles favorite food) and cake! My friend Natalie also made awesome Ninja Turtle Cake pops for the kids too. All the kids had a great time playing outside and having a good time. Brayden was ecstatic to have all his friends over to play and celebrate with him!

Last Day of School

I'm slacking on blogging and I promising myself I am going to get caught up and stay on top of it, especially with the last day of school being almost eight weeks ago!

The last day of school, I can't believe it. The year went by so fast.  Brayden's year in the three year old room was great. He learned so many new things throughout the year, loved being with his friends and was always bummed when he had a day off! I hope his love for school continues on forever! The last day of school they had a party to say goodbye and welcome summer. I also put together a little end of the year bucket for him with fun things to use outside to welcome summer. I'm looking forward to all the fun things we have planned for the summer! Stay tuned for our summer adventures as we await the start of VPK in August!

And here is a picture of Brayden on his first day of school and last day. The last day of school was also pajama day!
