Brayden had his first Christmas show at his school! He had come home weeks prior singing new Christmas songs so we knew he was in school preparing for the show. The church was filled with parents, siblings and grandparents of all the kids. We weren't sure how all the little kids would react to a room full of strangers but they all did great! They sang about six songs and they ended the show with "We Wish You a Merry Christmas!" We weren't able to get many pictures because it was so crowded and we didn't want to be standing in the way of another parent. Brayden was a little shy and sung more in the car on the ride home. All the kids did a great job!

Countdown to Christmas
Starting December 1st until Christmas we started a new tradition called Countdown to Christmas. We wrapped twenty four books and let the boys pick out one to read every night before bed. It was our way to countdown to Christmas. We read the book each night all of us together by the tree. As something as simple as reading a book, this was by far the best part of Christmas. We all stopped what we were doing, got together for a few minutes (away from the chaos of our night time routine) to sit down and enjoy each others company while reading a book. We will definitely make this an every Christmas tradition.
And sometimes you had to read a book with wrapping paper on your head!

SeaWorld Christmas Celebration 2012
Another year of fun had at SeaWorld's Christmas Celebration. The weather was a perfect for a Florida December day and the park was filled with lots of fun! The boys enjoyed riding on the rides and watching the Shamu Show but I think the best part for all was meeting Santa.
We met Santa in the North Pole! Both boys were excited to meet Santa! Of course Brayden more! He walked right up to Santa and told Santa he had been a good boy (which he has!) and told Santa he wanted a big truck for Christmas. They were able to get their picture taken with Santa to take home!
Another highlight of this visit was we got to get a family picture inside the snow globe. Luckily we got there just at the right time, with a very short wait! We all got to go into the snow globe and throw snow at each other, fake snow that is!
SeaWorld's Christmas Celebration seems to be an annual event for our family and every year we seem to enjoy it even more!

North Pole Breakfast
Our Elf was set to arrive in the morning and I wanted to make his arrival big! Our elf Kibb put a lot of thought into how he was going to arrive in our home and he came up with the idea to host a North Pole Breakfast, filled with lots of goodies and fun!
Okay in actuality I put together this huge breakfast, and I had so much fun! With the help of Ian we were able to pull off a North Pole breakfast that the kids were shocked to see in the morning. It actually took Brayden about a half hour to notice that the table was all decorated but once he did, he wanted to jump in on the fun.
Our North Pole Breakfast consisted on Christmas themed menu. On menu were Santa Hats (strawberries with a dab on whipped creme on the top), snow donuts (just powdered donuts), Christmas pancakes and hot chocolate with the guest of honor being our elf, Kibb!
Kibb also came with personalized letters for each of the boys and presents. This was by far Braydens favorite part and also had to help Bransen open his. Kibb brought the boys Christmas pajamas, a new Christmas movie and a new ornament to hang on the tree
This breakfast was filled of smiles the entire time. After breakfast was over we read the Elf on the Shelf book. In a later post, I will be documenting the many adventures of Kibb!

Thanksgiving 2012
Our new family tradition is now to go camping on Thanksgiving with Papa and Babci. This is our 2nd annual and this time around was a lot colder than last year but was still packed with a lot of fun times and great memories!
Thanksgiving Day was filled with the usual football (on Sirius) and a turkey dinner and pumpkin pie! We decided to act like tourists on this camping trip so we ventured out on town to the Flea Market to shop and my mom and I actually ventured out Friday morning to do some black Friday shopping and to our surprise the stores were empty.
The boys as usual had a great time in the outdoors. The sleeping this time was a little rougher for Bransen was a wiggle worm to sleep with. We met a camper across the way that soon made friends with and Brayden loved "Salty Dog" which was the guys license plate. And for a scare of the trip in the middle of the night, our carbon monoxide alarm went off and scared us all out of bed. Seems when the power goes out, the alarms will go off!
Bransen turned eleven months over this trip and it was his first Thanksgiving in which he loved eating all the yummy food. We had so much to be thankful for year, and it was great to spend Thanksgiving with the ones we love!
