Up Goes The Tree!
After a weekend of camping, I convinced Ian to stop and let us pick out our Christmas on our way back home on Sunday. We got it at Gardner Tree Farms and it didn't take us long to find the perfect one because they were all set out for you to view. Our tree is big and full, the biggest one we've ever bought. We loaded it up in the van and headed home to decorate. Brayden enjoyed hanging all the bulbs on the tree and watching it light up for the first time. He also thinks all the bulbs are balls to play with and likes to take them off the tree, this will take some time to make stop!

Thanksgiving 2011
Happy Thanksgiving! Our family has so much to be thankful for this year. We have a wonderful family, great friends, and our health! Ian and I have been blessed with a year of wonderful memories with Brayden and are looking forward to the arrival of Baby Barrette very soon!
This year we decided to throw tradition out the window and start a new family tradition, camping! My parents joined us for the fun and Brayden loved having them around all weekend! We took off on Wednesday to Tomoka State Park and stayed until Sunday. We stayed close to home because with four weeks left to go until Baby Barrette arrives I didn't want to take any chances being to far away.
The weather was beautiful. In the high 70's during the day, low 60's at nice with a nice breeze. This was also our first time camping in a camper. A friend of ours let us borrow his. We usually stay in a tent, which we don't mind but again being 36 weeks pregnant I thought I'd be a little more comfortable above ground.
Brayden is definitely all boy! The kids loves the dirt and getting into everything and when I say everything, I mean everything which makes it a little hard when your camping. He wants to be around the fire and help cook but with everything being so hot it seems like a constant telling of no. He loved his walks around the campground in his wagon, trips to the park, riding his four-wheeler, making smores for the first time and walks to "pool" (the river behind our campsite).
This is what it's all about. Making memories. :)

Thanksgiving Craft
Brayden's first craft he's made at school, a hand shaped turkey placemat! He was so proud and happy when he handed me his masterpiece and of course it brought a tear to my eye (I'm sure my hormone level didn't help!)

CTK Fall Festival
This weekend we attended Brayden's schools fall festival. The festival was filled with bounce houses, face painting, a juggler, magician and lots of cotton candy and popcorn. Brayden spent all his time in the bounce houses and as hard as it is to get an action shot on my iphone I only have a few pictures to post of all the fun! These pictures are of the bounce house with a big slide. Brayden had a hard time climbing up the ladder inside but was able to get a boost from a nice little boy!

Munchkin Sports Weeks Five
Tennis.
This week it was boys week. I didn't join because I was feeling under the weather but Daddy and Brayden enjoyed some bonding time playing tennis and lunch afterwards! Ian said Brayden did great this week and really enjoyed tennis. I may have a future tennis player on my hands!

Brothers and Sisters
This is my brother and sister, Keith and Missy. Even though we live over 1200 miles from eachother I know that they are only a phone call away. We're lucky if we get to see eachother once a year and the time we do get to spend together we cherish for we know it doesn't come often. We may go weeks without talking to eachother but always pick up right where we left off. I know that either of them would be there for me in a second and that I can always count on them. This is what I hope for my boys. That they will always have eachother to count on, a friend for life and I am happy that my boys have been blessed with an amazing aunt and uncle too!

Money
This little boy loves putting money in his piggy bank. Every time he leaves Babci's house she sends him home with a sandwich bag of change and he gets so excited when it's time to put it in his piggy. He's quick to grab all of Ian and I's extra change too. His piggy bank is filling up fast and he's learning early to save!

We missed tennis last week due to rainy weather! This week the kids learned to kick the ball, hike the ball, pass, throw and catch the ball, and stances!

Changes
With only eight weeks to go before the arrival of Baby Barrette, I think Brayden is sensing that a major change in this house is going to happen soon. I've brought a few baby toys out and he insists that they are his, or as he says "mine"! He's also found the drawer where we keep the baby pacifiers and he's come out a few times with one in his mouth. I think it will take a few weeks for the adjustment of a new baby in the house to set in with him. It's going to take some extra attention for Brayden from us while the baby is first at home and I think after a few weeks he'll be so happy to have his little brother around.

Trick or Treat!
This year we took it to the streets and with Papa teaching Brayden to say trick-or-treat over the weekend he sure was ready! Brayden joined his superhero and bumble bee friends, Ethan, Noah, Harrison and Brooks for some outside trick-or-treating. . The kids enjoyed going house to house to receive candy and check out all the Halloween decorations with one house being a little too scary for some of the little kids, a chainsaw man jumped out of the bushes! After a few hours of being out and much candy being received we called it a night with not too much of a sugar high.
Brayden still thinks its time to trick-or-treat though, he woke up this morning saying trick-or-treat! Now time to get the candy out of the house so we don't eat it!
