Bransen turns 2

It's hard to believe the littlest man in our house turned two! The year went by in a flash with so much fun and exciting things happening with Bransen. My little man is quiet and shy. He tends to play by himself unless his brother is around and keeps away from any other kids. I call him Mr. Unsocial. Hopefully with school next year we'll be able to break that barrier. He's quiet but into everything! Turn your head for a minute and he's up to no good. Baby proofing the house is a must with him. His laugh and smile is contagious and he'll light up a whole room. He loves his teddy, his brother, playing with matchbox cards, being outside and dancing. He's my little sidekick. We celebrated his birthday Mickey Mouse style with family and friends and are looking forward to all the things this year will bring! And the best present he received from turning two was a children's vacuum. The boys loves to clean and he will spend much time walking around with his vacuum cleaning in and out of spaces just like mommy! Batteries for the toy are stocked up!

Breakfast with Santa

This was our second year attending Breakfast with Santa at the Casements. Ian was unable to join us due to having to work but we my parents joined us and we all have a great time. We ate yummy pancakes and sausage while listening to Christmas songs and singing along. We got to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus and get our picture taken with him. Bransen was a no go with Santa, not even when he tried to get him to come over with a candy cane. The boys got to make a reindeer craft and decorate a cookie. They were more eager to eat it then they were to decorate it. Until next years breakfast!

Adventures of Kibb

The adventures of our Elf Kibb lived on again this year. This year with two very excited boys waking up (some mornings very early) to find out where Kibb has landed. Each morning he made his way back into the house in a new and fun exciting place. The boys were sad to see him leave and even got to touch him for a few minutes since Santa gave us the okay and lifted his magic for five minutes, although Brayden didn't want to touch him and was pretty upset that he would not see him Christmas morning!

Thanksgiving at Disney

Why does it always happen that it always rains or is freezing when you have something planned and sunny and warm all the time?!

That's what happened to us Thanksgiving weekend! We can be thankful for no rain but the weather was cold for our trip to Disney's Fort Wilderness Campground. By no means did it stop us from having all the fun we could have but a little sunshine would have been an added bonus!

The boys and I stopped at SeaWorld for the day on the way to the campground to enjoy a day with the sea. We checked out some shows, rode some rides, took a picture with Shamu, the regular adventures we have at SeaWorld. Brayden's favorite show at SeaWorld right now is One Ocean with Shamu and I'm pretty sure it's because he knows we get popcorn there!

On our first night of staying at the Fort we check out Chip n' Dale's campfire and sing along. And it was beyond cold. The coldest night we've had this year. We all bundled up to stand by the campfire and roast some marsh mellows. We didn't last long through the sing along but no worries we caught the show every night we were there and by the end we were all pros at singing along and doing the hokey pokey dance too!

The Christmas lights at the campground were amazing. Most campsites had there RV's and area and decorated. Some people went all out while others kept it simple and sweet. One RV right near where our site went all up. They had every blow up that you could imagine and a whole path around their RV lit up so you could stop at anytime to walk through the lights. It even had a Santa at the end. Riding around checking out the lights was also a nightly thing!

Thanksgiving Day we spent taking the ferry over to the Magic Kingdom, hopping on the monorail and checking out the hotels Christmas decorations.

And the best part of the trip for the boys would have to be our Breakfast with Mickey on Friday. Brayden was more than happy to welcome all the characters over to our table to get an autograph, a hug and a picture....Bransen on the other hand welcomed them all with a scream of terror, some more than others! He loved waving to them from a far but if they came anywhere near him we was not a happy camper. Maybe next time!

We also enjoyed the electric boat parade show at night along with the Magic Disney fireworks! We took a swim in the pool (yes it was heated!) and Brayden took on the love of playing tether ball which he has since gotten his own at Papa and Babci's!

This is one trip our whole family enjoys going on together. One family has been going to the fort for Thanksgiving for the last 37 years. It's a family ritual. That means that they probably started when there kids were little and are now enjoying the ritual with there grandchildren. That could be us some day!

"I wanna look like a fox"

You know that moment when you turn away for a few minutes, realize that it has been super quiet and go to check to see what your four year old is doing in the other room. Of course it's never anything good when he's that quiet, turn the corner and he has sharpie all over his face, you ask him what he has done and he responds with " I wanna look like a fox!" How do you even keep a straight face?! Lately he's been listening to the song, What Does The Fox Say? which I'm pretty sure is where this little masterpiece of a face painting came from.
